Dave Gardner - Assistant Manager
Biography of Dave
Dave is a born and bred Preston lad. He learnt guitar as a child after being inspired by Bob Dylan and The Beatles. After gigging locally for a number of years, he formed the band "Borderland" in which he was the lead singer.
In his early twenties, Dave progressed to more solo work and song writing, and enjoyed some success appearing as a support act for various well known artists, including Kris Kristofferson and The Kinks. He recorded three CDs which are still available.
More recently, Dave has been gigging and he also now teaches acoustic and electric guitar to both adults and youngsters, which he enjoys very much.
Many years' work in record shops has left Dave with a very eclectic musical taste and an encyclopaedic knowledge of recordings in nearly all genres of music, including classical. His particular areas of interest and expertise are Early and Baroque music, Country, Brass Band, Folk and Blues, and the acoustic singer-songwriters.
Latest musical projects include playing Renaissance lute and attempting to learn the Indian sitar (future gigs at the local Balti House - watch this space!)
